Hello from Sunny Southern New Mexico! New Mexico State University Chemical Engineering has degrees at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. levels. We have seven faculty members (with two new faculty members joining us this summer!) dedicated to excellence in undergraduate teaching as well as excellence in our research programs and graduate education. Class sizes are small, often between twenty and thirty students. We have an active student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering. In 2008 the student chapter was named one of the Outstanding Student AIChE Chapters by the national organization.
Our alumni are employed in a variety of industries, including petrochemicals, refining, advanced materials, environmental restoration and pollution prevention, mining, aerospace, and energy production (including the nuclear industry). Our faculty have active research programs in energy, advanced materials, environmental engineering and computer modeling and simulation. I hope you learn more about our department by looking at our website. I would welcome any questions at martmitc@nmsu.edu.
Go Aggies!
